How well do you know your neighbours? This Friday, 27 May, is an opportunity to break the ice as Belgium celebrates its 13th edition of Neighbours Day.
The idea behind Neighbours Day (Fête des Voisins in French, or Dag van de Buren in Dutch) is a simple one. It’s an opportunity to get to know your neighbours, in an effort to prevent what some point to as a worrying trend of isolationism and exclusion in big cities, where residents can share a building or corridor yet barely know each other.
