The United Kingdom officially left the European Union on Wednesday, but the British monuments at Brussels’ Mini Europe family park will stay for the time being, writes Bruzz.
“Mini Europe will not remove its models of British landmarks,” confirmed Thierry Meeùs, director of the Brussels tourist attraction.
“The Brexit negotiations will take at least two years,” Meeùs explained. “In the meantime, Great Britain remains a member of the EU, and therefore so do our monuments.”
“Moreover, it would be a shame to remove the monuments, as the park just last year renewed them at a cost of €50,000,” he added, while pointing out that the British landmarks are forever part of EU history.
