World landmarks light up in Belgian tricolour

Landmarks in major cities around the world on Tuesday night were illuminated in black, yellow and red in a show of solidarity with Belgium following the terror attacks in Brussels. The Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris, was one of the first to light up in the colours of the Belgian flag.
The symbol of the German capital Berlin, Brandenburg Gate, also took part, as did the world-renowned skyscraper in Dubai, a government building in Poland, numerous buildings in the Netherlands including the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, One World Trade Center in New York, Trevi fountain in Rome and the courthouse in Lyon, among many others.
