The WWF organizes Earth Hour on Saturday 28 March 2015, from 8:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
During 1 hour, one billion people around the world turn off the light simultaneously. The hour has to symbolically help the earth in the fight against global warming. The City of Brussels takes part by turning off the lights of the facades of the City Hall and the Maison du Roi.
The event was first held in 2007 in Sydney. At that first edition, 2 million people took part. The City of Brussels joins the event again. This year, the lights of the facades of the City Hall and the Maison du Roi will be turned off during one hour. The Atomiumwill turn off the lights as well.
