The City of Brussels will bring its parking rates in line with other municipalities across the region.
So, on-street parking in the centre of Brussels will become cheaper in the coming weeks.
The cost of parking for an hour is reduced from €1.50 to €1; two hours from €4 to €2 and three hours from €7 to €3.50. Every additional hour will be €1.50 and the maximum permitted stay is increased from three to nine hours.
Fines for not paying will fall from €40 to €25.
When the changes are implemented over the next few weeks, all the information will be available on the city website.
