This week new road markings will be made at several busy junctions of Brussels ring.

The Flemish roads and traffic agency AWV will be making changes to the road configuration around Strombeek-Bever, Groot-Bijgaarden and Zellik from Thursday 16 November until Tuesday 21 November inclusive.

The new road markings – called “quick wins” – on the approach to intersections are designed to improve traffic flow by encouraging drivers to change lanes earlier.

From Thursday, road markings will be changed around the Strombeek-Bever junction with the A12. The busy Groot-Bijgaarden interchange with the E40 will be reconfigured from Friday. Changes will be made early next week at Zellik.

The AWV will also carry out structural checks on 29 road bridges and viaducts, starting on Wednesday, without any impact on traffic.
