The third edition of the flower festival started on Friday in Brussels city hall.
Brussels’ landmark bronze sculpture of a boy peeing, Manneken Pis, has received a stylish headdress of flowers on the occasion of Flowertime.
On Thursday morning, Brussels artist and florist Geoffroy Mottart had the honour of creating the fancy hat for Belgium’s most famous statue. Mottart is one of 20 top florists participating in Flowertime. He is best known for growing flower beards on famous busts in Belgium.
The event around flower art has a flowers and fruit theme, so the rooms of city hall and the Grand Place will be full of fruits and flowers between 11 and 13 August.
