According to the information from health minister – supermarkets in Belgium could soon be allowed to sell medical supplies such as sterile dressings, etc.
It’s a part of new plan that would rid pharmacies of their monopoly.
Health minister Maggie De Block proposed royal decree that would make it possible to buy such medical supplies like nasal drops or self-testing kits elsewhere except pharmacies. The sale of medicines would remain exclusively for pharmacists.
