9 May is an Europe Day, the day of the European Union. Brussels, the capital of Europe, also celebrates this day. European institutions in Brussels invite everyone to take a look behind the scenes. It’ll be a day full of festivities for the whole family, as part of the Festival of Europe!
The city welcomes many institutions on its territory: the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Economic and Social Committee.
The Committee of the Regions will organize an open day (from 10 am to 6 pm) with activities in the European quarter, such as the Bread Festival.
Numerous activities will take place throughout the day: debates, concerts, entertainment, exhibitions, visits of the official buildings, interactive information stands… You can also take a small train between the various buildings of the European quarter.
