Youth Summer Olympic Games wrapped up last Friday in Buenos Aires.
Belgium sent 32 athletes, who took part in 20 sports during the 13-day event.
They brought home nine medals
Two athletes brought home gold:
– Maité Beernaert of West Flanders – the long jump with a distance of 6.31 metres
– Quentin Mahauden of Walloon Brabant – karate
Silver medals:
– Jules Vangeel – canoe-kayak,
– Badr Achab – middleweight taekwondo
– the men’s basketball team
– the equestrian jumping team
Bronze medals:
– Alessia Corrao – judo
– Senna Roos – archery
