Belgian prime minister Charles Michel and federal justice minister Koen Geens took the initiative for a ‘Brussels international Business Court’, which they say would settle legal disputes among international companies.
A preliminary document outling the structure and responsibilities of the institution has been drafted.
The new court can start operating sometime over the next few months.
The working language of the court would be English, and all decisions would be written in English. Companies would not be allowed to appeal decisions made by the court.
