A year ago, the Free University of Brussels (VUB) has launched its new English-language bachelor of Social Science study programme. The number of students enrolled in this programme doubled during this year.
In the coming academic year, the VUB’s first English-language bachelor is expected to draw more students than any other programme.
Last year, 122 students enrolled in the interdisciplinary study programme, making it the second most popular bachelor after Law.
This year, twice as many applications for Social Science have been received as during the same period last year, meaning it is on its way to surpassing Law as the VUB’s largest bachelor programme.
A second English-language bachelor, Business, is in the pipeline.
