Following last week’s terror attacks in Brussels, the United States has sent FBI teams to assist the Belgian authorities in the investigation into the attacks on 22 March, according to an announcement made today from the White House. Belgian and American officials are discussing the collaboration this week.
“Belgium has accepted our assistance,” said Ben Rhodes, security adviser to the White House, in a statement. “We have FBI teams on the ground assisting with the investigation. We are sharing information and intelligence with Belgium as it relates to terrorist threats.”
