Brussels adds another museum to its city fabric with the opening of a brand new museum today in the Trade Mart building, 100m away from the Atomium in the Heysel exhibition park north of the city. The official inauguration of the Art & Design Atomium Museum (ADAM) took place earlier this week and was attended by members of the press and professionals from the art and design industry. Today, the doors open to the general public.

The space provides a permanent, 5,000m² home for Plasticarium, a unique collection of more than 2,000 (mostly plastic) items from postmodernism and pop art (1960-2000), belonging to private collector Philippe Decelle.
An additional 1,000m² space is reserved for temporary exhibitions, starting with Eames & Hollywood, which runs from March, 2016, and features unpublished photographs of American designers Charles and Ray Eames, made by film director Billy Wilder.
