King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the editorial staff of dailies L’Echo and De Tidj, both published by media group Mediafin, on Tuesday morning.
The royal couple’s visit is one of a series of meetings with media companies. The king and the queen visited the editorial staff as well as the Tour & Taxis building in Brussels in the company of Dirk Velghe, Mediafin CEO and Frederik Delaplace, editor of the dailies. They also met with several journalists.
Philippe and Mathilde take media issues very seriously. Whilst visiting Mediafin headquarters, they showed a particular interest in the role of multimedia in news production and in how the 2 dailies collaborate.
