Belgium’s Prince Amedeo and his wife Elisabetta (Lili) Rosboch von Wolkenstein became parents for the first time after the birth of their daughter early this morning, announced the Royal Palace.
The baby girl came into the world at 3.30 in the Saint-Pierre University Hospital in Brussels, weighing 3.3kg and measuring 52cm. “Mother and child are doing well,” confirmed the palace.
Amedeo is the eldest son of Princess Astrid, who today became a grandmother for the first time, while King Albert and Queen Paola became great-grandparents.
Amedeo is sixth in line to the throne. He and Lili married in Rome on 5 July, 2014.
