From Friday 20 to Sunday 29 March 2015, Eurantica Fine Art Fair, welcomes you for a new edition. For 10 days, packed with professional and cultural meetings, the Brussels exhibition centre, well-known for its eclectic, contemporary character, will display a selection of 115 Belgian and foreign galleries.
Renowned for its historical paintings, modern art, jewellery, stamped furniture and vintage design pieces, the fair is eagerly anticipated by collectors and art dealers, as well as by many interior designers.
Theme: The Portrait
This year, the spotlight will be on “The Portrait”. Even if it has been around since Antiquity, it has never before experienced the success it has had of late. Primarily produced in the form of paintings and engravings, this self-representation (portrait, self-¬‐portrait or effigy) has been a societal phenomenon for centuries, and even more so with the advent of photography and now “selfies”.
The Eurantica fair will take you on a journey through history, where you will discover a wide variety of portrait styles and techniques while perusing the thousands of works exhibited by the 115 galleries participating in the fair from Belgium and overseas.
