Unemployment in the Brussels region has fallen down 4% year on year according to new figures for December represented this week.
96,736 people registered in Brussels as seeking work – a 17.6% unemployment rate. The jobless figure has fallen by about 4,000 in the past year and by more than 12,500 over the past three years.
Youth unemployment, which has been falling every month for the past three-and-a-half years, now stands at 26.3%, according to the new stats from job centre Actiris.
In December the Brussels region had 10,688 unemployed young people – down 8% on the same time in 2015.
